CNC Machining

Process:

CNC Machining is a deductive process by which a computer controlled milling machine removes material from a solid block of raw material or from a pre-existing part. The key advantage of this process is its ability to produce large and/or complex plastic and metal parts in your choice of material.

CNC prototypes are ideal for situations where specific physical properties are needed for functional testing, or when the size of the parts makes other prototyping methods inefficient or cost prohibitive. CNC parts closely resemble and function just like the “real thing” and closely demonstrate fit, form and mechanical performance.

Key advantages:

  • Functional metal and plastic parts, prototypes, models, patterns and tooling
  • Tight tolerances, sharp detail and good surface finishing
  • Inexpensive method of producing simple parts
  • Drill, tap and face rapid prototypes to improve detail, accuracy and finish

We can machine: ABS, Acrylic, Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Zinc,
Delrin, Nylon, PET, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, Low Density Foam, Rigid High Density Foam, Model Plank, Wood and other materials. Just ask us.
